Connecting Gmail & Personal Outbound Dispatch
Connecting your Google account for authorized outbound message sending directly from your personal inbox.
Sonnev Ghostwriter allows you to send approved drafts directly from your own email account, eliminating copy-paste friction while ensuring messages arrive from your authenticated domain.
---
1. Scopes and Permissions
Ghostwriter uses official Google OAuth with the narrowest possible permission scope: - `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send`: Grants the ability to dispatch outbound messages that you explicitly review and approve.
We do not request or possess permissions to:
- Read your inbox or search your incoming emails (gmail.readonly).
- Delete or modify existing messages (gmail.modify).
- Access your Google Drive, Contacts, or Calendar.
---
2. Setting Up the Integration
1. Go to Connections in your Ghostwriter dashboard (https://ghostwriter.sonnev.com/app/connections).
2. Click Connect Google Account.
3. Authenticate with your Google account and grant outbound sending permissions.
4. Once connected, a "Send via Gmail" button will appear on approved drafts alongside the standard "Copy" and "Open in Mail App" options.
---
3. Human Approval Gate
Every email sent via the Gmail integration requires an explicit user action: 1. You review the drafted subject and body. 2. You confirm the validated recipient address. 3. You click Send via Gmail.
Ghostwriter maintains a zero-autonomous-sending policy: no AI process or automated trigger can dispatch an email without human interaction.
---
4. Revocation and Disconnect
You can revoke Ghostwriter's access at any time: - In the Ghostwriter dashboard: Navigate to Connections and click Disconnect. - In Google Account settings: Go to [myaccount.google.com/permissions](https://myaccount.google.com/permissions) and remove Sonnev Ghostwriter access.
